As part of Baptist Health, we are committed to advancing health and healing close to home. Every gift makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.

About Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation

Our History

Born out of tragedy, the Boca Raton Community Hospital (aka Regional) was built on the generosity of a community that believed in one woman’s mission. When Gloria Drummond’s two children died of poisoning because the nearest hospital was more than an hour away, she was famously quoted as saying, “Don’t send flowers… Send funds!”

A core group of 18 women helped organize the fundraising efforts to build the hospital, including the Fiesta de Boca Raton, which ultimately evolved into the hospital ball, still held today.
